Hi new friends. I am Tamara, Frank’s neighbor and friend. I am so happy to be here!
Frank briefly introduced me in his last post, and I was a little shy (I still am), but he encouraged me to introduce myself properly here and to be as free and open as possible with you all, my pastors and brethren.
I am a self-employed entrepreneur or business owner like some of you call it. I make beautiful and classy hand-made footwears😁😊. I have plenty role models in this community too! Frank is my closest friend for now, but I hope to famz a lot of you as time goes on.
Frank and I have been neighbors for over 2 years now and initially, I didn’t like the guy. He looked like all these SU brothers characterized with sufferings. I didn’t even want to speak to him or have anything to do with him until one day when rain was about to fall heavily and I saw brother Frank pack his clothes on the dryer outside, alongside my mom’s clothes, and brought them to our house. I just thought in my heart “really, who be this guy????”
It was then we started talking and I came to see that he did not like “suffering”, but was obeying a life that caused him to deny pleasures that a natural man would naturally desire. Frank was more spiritual than I thought and I wanted to have and know what he had and knew. We became closer when he lost his job some months ago, and that was when he shared the secret to his Change- a brethren community.
He described this community as his ‘safe space’ where he is not ashamed to share his high and low moments from work, receive instructions and corrections from his brethren and pastors, and also strength to become better. He introduced me to Pastor PSam, who added me to this group and has given me permission to also share my own stories.
While Frank shares his stories from the corporate world, I will be giving you fresh and juicy stories from the life of an entrepreneur journeying to God. Also, I heard that Pastor Tayo Fasan is ministering at the first prayer meeting of the year holding this Thursday. I’m so excited and I can’t wait to be a partaker of what the Lord has in store for Brethren in Business this year.
