You might wonder how it has been at my new workplace. Yeah, I’m the new guy everyone refers to here.
But aside from that, I was gisting with Sister Tamara one of these days how it has been here. This is a fast-paced environment, with everyone who seems to know their place in this world and taking the bull by the horns.
It’s not so new to me, but there’s something exceptionally new, and that’s that here, people have more trust in their earning capacity and the ways they have projected their lives. You hear them say, “What’s your financial projection for this year?”. It feels like I’m in a matrix.
I know my belief; I know my hope! Some days, I struggle with thoughts in my head. A little voice keeps asking what my life is about. Is this how I’m going to get married? No future ambition, no premeditated or planned achievements.
Through the mouth of Pastor Tayo Fasan, it took the Lord to deliver me from these thoughts. I do not have to run the race the world has set before me. Tomorrow isn’t mine to worry about. I won’t be a slave to the design of Satan for how man should live.
So, as I go to work these days, I arm myself with what the Scriptures say about this world, what the Scriptures say about my life that is in Christ Jesus. I arm myself with faith, even though Satan might try to use needs or “what ifs” to dissuade me from my persuasion; I know that with faith that comes by hearing, I shall overcome and not be subject to this world.
We are at war daily to keep what we hear and have faith in God. I thank God for like-minded brethren who have been my comfort this season.
